The flame angelfish has a peaceful temperament. However, it is also slightly aggressive and territorial. The thing that causes this fish to be assertive is that it wants to show territoriality to other fish in the same tank.

Flame angelfish are fish found in tropical waters in the Pacific Ocean and distributed from Palau to the Marquesas, Hawaiian Islands, southward to the Great Barrier Reef. Typically, in captivity, Flame angelfish feeds on brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, other meats, spirulina, seaweed sheets, and pellets. On the other hand, this brightly colored fish is considered reef-safe.
